Co-curricular

The Catlins Area School not only offers opportunities for students to achieve good academic results, we actively promote the benefits of a wider curriculum to students by offering an extensive range of co-curricular activities.

Co-curricular activities and team participation provide opportunities for students to develop a sense of belonging, to support and encourage others, to learn about leadership, create group spirit and resolve conflict. Our learners begin to understand how to interact constructively with others while working towards a common goal, they are offered opportunities to perfect their own individual skills and talents.

Participation in co-curricular activities helps promote engagement with the TCAS values and provides a transformative experience through which students can prepare themselves to succeed in the many and varied roles they will undertake in future life.
