Rolling out the red carpet for formal......

The Catlins Area School formal was held at school on Saturday the 17th June and seniors did not disappoint as they arrived to school in crisp winter air in front of many keen parents, siblings and community members!

The annual TCAS formal was held on the 17th of June, it was a total hit with 34 students attending from all over. Our formal committee did a fabulous job organising the event and made the night magical night for all.

Throughout the night the students were about to go up to the table and vote for who they wanted to win the various different awards. Our TCAS formal King and Queen were Kotaro Nagatsuka and Amelia Morrison. The best dressed boy and girl from the night were Braydee Osborne and Cosine Chacaprana

The photographer Kassanda Lynne (Kassandra Lynne Photography) took some absolutely beautiful photos of the event for everyone to remember the night by. The Dj Soleveni Sa’u and Nu’u Vaeau played some good music and made the night enjoyable for everyone, there definitely wouldn’t have been a formal without them!

The students would like to thank Miss Currall for helping the committee organise this whole event and taking charge of the food, the night wouldn’t have been as successful without you. We would also like to thank Robyn, Kerri, and the various year 9 and 10 students for catering and serving for the event and keeping everyone well fed. To Bruce, Shane and Andy, thank you for doing all the small things we asked you to do without any complaints. Thank you Mr Simpson for helping us make the decorations and spending hours of his time building or painting the decorations to make the night look incredible. Also thank you to Mrs McPhee for handling all of our invoices and making sure all of the things were paid.

This night was definitely was a highlight for many people and there will hopefully be another one again next year.
