Incredible opportunity for student to attend BizVenture China programme in the holidays.

Yui Nakajima was selected to attend a BizVenture China in the holidays and travelled to Wellington and Auckland to participate.

The Young Enterprise Scheme is the organization behind the BizVenture China program. Eighteen students from across New Zealand are chosen to travel to Auckland and Wellington to study Chinese business and culture. The programme runs from October 9th through October 15th over the school holidays.

We had numerous opportunities to take part in a wide range of Chinese cultural activities over the week, including calligraphy, kung fu, and preparing dumplings. Everyone had a wonderful opportunity to collaborate while also learning a lot about the significance of these activities to the culture.

We had two business challenges that we had to finish in teams during the week. We were required to create a two-page market entrance plan outlining our strategy for doing business in China. My team created a children's television program that stressed the value of good health and wellbeing as well as the necessity of a healthy planet.

During the week we went to a variety of different Asian restaurants like Chinese and a teppanyaki grill. It gave us the chance to step out of our comfort zone and try a lot of new and different things. I would recommend to anyone that has the opportunity to go.
